除了 hosts 從4.0 升級4.1的步驟外

重點在於vCenter 是否也要升級至4.1

如果要資料庫的議題 必須先處理

目前是安裝sql server 2005 Express

 

 

 

由於vSphere 4.1的vCenter，OS需求已經全部改成 64位元了（XP、Server 2003、2008），所以如果你的vCenter以前是裝在32位元的OS，現在要升級並遷移到64位元才行。

 

VMware新版的vCenter有提供Data Migration Tool（在vCenter光碟的datamigration資料夾），可讓你原本的vCenter備份與遷移到新的64bit OS。

Migration的部份：

  • vCenter Server Software and its configuration
  • vCenter Update Manager Software and its configuration
  • VMware Orchestrator Software and its configuration
  • The default SQL Express 2005 database that comes installed with vCenter Server.
